AFC official announcement: China will host the 2025 U20 Asian Cup.
At a meeting held in Al Ain, UAE, the AFC Competitions Committee approved a series of key decisions.
These include granting the hosting rights for the 2025 AFC U20 Asian Cup to the Chinese Football Association, and the hosting rights for the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup to the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
The last time China hosted this event was in 2010, then known as the AFC U19 Championship. At that time, the Chinese U19 national team lost to the eventual champions, the North Korean team, in the quarterfinals.
